Mr. Bare and his wife have been married and collecting for over 50 years. The Bare’s have resided in many areas, including 5 years in Africa. Throughout the years and multiple relocations, they have taken their treasures along with them. The Bare’s moved back to Union, West Virginia six years ago and will soon be departing to the great state of Connecticut - this time leaving behind some of their collection that includes -

Farmer Auctions is humbled to help our friends from the Historical Society of Western Virginia with their annual fund raising event. All proceeds from this auction benefit this amazing organization that is charged with preserving, interpreting and promoting the history of the Roanoke region.  They are also committed to collecting, preserving, interpreting, and making available materials relating to that history; sponsoring research and publication in the field of regional history, and providing educational services to people and institutions throughout southwestern Virginia.
