Ellen Spangler lived her entire life in Ballard, West Virginia.  She took meticulous care of anything in her possession including two garage-kept, low-mileage cars - a 2012 Ford Fiesta and a 2010 Ford Fusion.   As the only child, she became the caretaker and keeper of all the items from the family farms over the years. Included in the collection is a Land Grant dated 1843 for Monroe County, Virginia, a family chest with provenance possibly from the workshop of Greenbrier Co. maker David Surbaugh, an antique yarn winder, a  loomed coverlet & quilts, Civil War era money, oak furniture, 1928 panoramic photo of the Town of Peterstown, old coins, Ironstone, depression glass, A Ballard thermometer, Gold Jewelry , including a beautiful diamond cocktail ring, large amount of vintage costume Jewelry, American Fostoria, Azella Franciscan ware, Large number of Books, Hand tools, ladders, Vintage formica tables & chairs, goose neck rocker, oak secretary, Fiesta ware, crocks, blue jars, milk glass, mixing bowls, farm work table and early chairs, flax & linen items made on the Farm.

This family has enjoyed collecting items that were near and dear to their hearts. The lady of the house was a charter member in the Longaberger basket club. She has an impressive collection being offered for sale. She also enjoyed crafting things herself and has a wide array of decor made by her & other craftsmen & artisans. They shared a adoration for all things primitive & antique. You will find two antique violins/fiddles, 3 vehicles,  beautiful Tiger Oak 3/4 bed, an extensive outdoor decor collection.
