Mrs. Newton retired from Corning of Danville after 35+ years of service.  During her tenure there she served as the secretary to the plant manager and also managed the Company store.  Hump Newton owned American Home Construction Company.

Farmer Auctions is proud to present the unique collection of the late George Lutz Jr. of the Childress area of Montgomery County,  VA.  He may have settled in this area, but Mr. Lutz certainly saw his share of the world while being a Sergeant in the Military and serving in the Korean War. Once home, he was active in the VFW and his collection of military and U.S. related items shows that he had a true love for his country. Items from his military service include apparel, pins, patches, scrapbooks, & more. They are truly the highlight of the collection.
